End of Life Option Act

YoloCares respects the dignity of persons at every stage of life’s journey and acknowledges and supports a patient’s right to make medical decisions, including accepting or rejecting treatment, even life-sustaining treatment if from the patient’s perspective it is an excessive burden or offers no reasonable hope or benefit. YoloCares supports and educates toward open discussions about patient concerns, unmet needs, feelings, and desires about the dying process.

YoloCares honors the wishes of all patients admitted or considering admission to hospice service; including the choice to pursue aid-in-dying drugs under the EoLOA. YoloCares provides quality end-of-life care, symptom management, and supportive services to all patients with the goal of providing excellent care, safe and comfortable dying, and positive life closure.

In accordance with California’s End of Life Option Act,  End of Life Option Act YoloCares recognizes the request for an aid-in-dying drug is a discussion between a patient and her or his Attending physician. YoloCares supports patient rights and choices through offering Education and Support about the EoLOA for patients, families and loved ones, YoloCares staff and volunteers.
